There was a lot of talk of Dusty’s father in the book, seeing as she was raised by him, but unfortunately we never were able to meet him. Both of them misjudge each other and it was nice to see how their friendship developed. They’re both apprehensive to work together, in fact Eli down right blames Dusty for pulling him into the whole affair. I loved the development of Dusty’s and Eli’s relationship. They butt heads like only two people very much alike can, and despite what Dusty would like to believe, she is very much her mother’s daughter. This is especially clear in Dusty’s relationship with her mother.
